| L’élément principal du Fou Volant est un avion en plastique, au bout d’un bras articulé qui tourne autour d’une axe central, entraîné par un petit moteur. Le pilote, effectivement fou, a décidé de s’attaquer aux poules, et chaque joueur est un fermier défendant son poulailler. Le but est donc, en utilisant un tremplin actionné manuellement, d’envoyer l’avion voltiger vers les poulaillers adverses, tout en évitant qu’il ne vienne toucher vos poules et les faire tomber.
C’est bien sûr un jeu idiot, mais il demande de bons réflexes, et une certaine mesure de sa force. Les coûts de fabrication étant sans doute trop élevés, MB a cessé la production de cette grosse bêtise un peu décalée et pas très politiquement correcte – après tout, c’est un jeu où il faut tuer des poules. Le Fou Volant est rapidement devenu un jeu culte, dont la présence est indispensable dans les conventions de joueurs. Il est d’autant plus recherché par les collectionneurs que les jetons poules sont faciles à perdre, et difficile à remplacer.
Mise à jour 2006 : Ayant constaté les prix incroyables auxquels partaient les boits de Fou Volant sur ebay, Habro a réédité le jeu en 2006. tant mieux pour les joueurs, et tant pis pour les petits malins qui écumaient les vide greniers pour acheter des jeux et les revendre cent fois plus cher.

The main part of Loopin’ Louie is .a small plastic airplane at the end of an extended boom. A battery operated motor rotates the boom and the airplane. Louie is definitely crazy, and firing at hens – each player is a farmer trying to protect his hens from the terrifying machine, using a hand operated lever to knock the rotating plane and try to have it touch other player hens.
It’s a silly game, but an addictive one, that requires quick reflexes and a good measurement of one’s strength on the lever. The production costs were probably too high, and MB has stopped the production of this silly thing, which also wasn’t really politically correct – after all, it’s all about firing at hens. Since then, Loopin’ Louie has become a cult game, and is a must have in every gaming convention. Another reason why it has become a collector is that the hen token are very easy to lose, and replacement impossible to find.
2006 update : Someone at Hasbro noticed that copies of Loopin'Louie were sold on ebay for a few hundred dollars, so they decided to reprint it. Good new for young and old gamers, bad news for speculators who were making a living of buying copies for a few bucks in garage sales and selling them a few hundred bucks on ebay.
